Julie Newberry Ah-hah Counselling, Emotional Health Training and Professional Development

Are you looking to live a happier and more fulfilled life? Julie believes that however we feel in the present moment and  whatever our age or our particular circumstances we can learn to understand ourself better and that this may lead us to make different choices.

Change can sound scary, but making changes is not about us becoming someone we are not.

It is about becoming the person we were always meant to be.

By learning to understand our  core self, we can recognise  experiences that have blocked the achievement of our needs and desires; begin to accept ourselves for who we are and ultimately reach our true potential.

My name is Julie Newberry and I am a professionally qualified counsellor with private rooms at Church Crookham near Fleet.

Within easy reach of one of these rooms are Fleet, Farnborough, Frimley, Farnham, Aldershot, Yateley, Hook, Hartley Whitney, Odiham, and Crondall.

 Counselling

I understand that it can be hard to make a start, but you can be sure that I will always respect your needs and that progress will be one step at a time. At no point will you be asked to do anything which feels uncomfortable or for which you are unprepared.

I have experience working both with young people and adults struggling with a range of difficulties and together we explore how they may best overcome them: for example anxiety, depression, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, grief and bereavement, loss, separation and divorce, loneliness and isolation, low self esteem, shyness, anger, work stress and pressures. I have techniques to help neutralise the emotions felt by those suffering phobias and post traumatic stress disorder. I also specialise in supporting those who have been arrested for internet offending and in counselling offenders who have not been arrested but who wish to stop their illegal online activity. I do not report non-contact offending and I welcome non-offending paedophiles.

Emotional Health Workshops

These workshops do not replace personal therapy. However they do offer a means to understand a range of emotional and mental health issues. The issues might be your own or be those of someone you care about. Classes are kept small so as to optimise your experience.

The workshops are customised for the participants and are suitable for a range of individuals or for a company team. Topics covered include Anxiety, Depression, Stress, Assertiveness Relationships and Fundamentals of Counselling.

Professional Development Training

These workshops focus on professional and personal skills beneficial to the workplace. As such they tend to be bespoke to the team involved. Examples of courses I offer are Skills in Leadership, Teamwork, Presentations, Interviewing and Selection, Listening,  Communication, Time Management, Project Management, Stress Management, Counselling Employees, Negotiation, Assertiveness and Consulting.
